Sound license

The short version: use DailySounds audio in almost any project — YouTube videos, podcasts, games, apps, ads, films and client work — free, including commercially. Just don't resell or re-upload the raw files as a sound library.

You can

  • Use the sounds in YouTube videos, Shorts, Reels, TikToks, streams and other social content, including monetized content.
  • Use them in podcasts, radio, audiobooks, courses and presentations.
  • Use them in games, mobile and web apps, and other software.
  • Use them in films, ads, trailers and paid client projects.
  • Edit them any way you like — trim, loop, pitch, layer, add effects.

You can't

  • Sell, share or re-upload the raw sound files on their own, or bundle them into another sound pack, library or marketplace.
  • Claim that you made the original recordings, or register them with a content-ID system (such as YouTube Content ID) as your own.
  • Use the sounds in content that is illegal, hateful or harassing.

Credit

Credit isn't required, but it's always appreciated. If you'd like to add one, use: “Sound effects from DailySounds.org”.

Where the sounds come from

Every sound on DailySounds comes from the Daily Sounds YouTube channel. Some sounds have titles that mention a film, show, game, song, brand or celebrity — those are fan-made, meme-style or “inspired by” clips. Names are used only to describe the sound, and the owners of those names aren't connected to DailySounds. If you plan to use one of those clips in a commercial project, make sure that use is appropriate for you.

Copyright questions and takedowns

If you believe a sound on DailySounds uses audio you own without permission, email hello@dailysounds.org with:

  • the link to the sound page (for example, https://dailysounds.org/sounds/123),
  • a description of the work you own and where it was first published,
  • your name and contact details, and
  • a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized, and that the information in your notice is accurate.

We review every request and remove sounds that shouldn't be here.

The sounds are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. DailySounds isn't liable for how you use them. See the terms of service for the full terms.
